Pumpkin Patch

It's taken a little while, but fall is in the air. There is a nip in the air and I'm all stocked up on Trader Joe's Apple Cider. I'm finally finding my balance. Finally slowing down and sucking in every single moment. And I finally made it to the pumpkin patch.

5ohHubby was sleeping but it was so beautiful out I met up with our playdate with our mommy group. I was more than excited that both the day and 5ohBaby were cooperating for the pictures.

In reality, 5ohBaby was spending her time eating hay. Lots of hay. She was less concerned with the fall festivities and more concerned with the hay. Don't tell 5ohHubby.

We got home and I made an entire pot of chicken and dumplings (ok, ok, I've given up on my caprese salads). I loved every moment of watching my girl explore her surroundings. I'm really trying to find joy in these little moments. Showing my love for her while making memories. She is more concerned with licking pumpkins.

But it won't always be that way. One day, she'll know I'm her biggest fan. She won't always be my little pumpkin.  But she is now, and I'm holding on tight.

Wouldn't you?

Today I'm  participating in the October followers fest being put on by Casey Wiegand, Much Love ILLY, Changing Lanes and Boho Baby Bump. Follow the badge at the bottom of this post and check out the blog hop!

  2. I have been reading your blog for a while and I don't think I have commented yet but today I had to!

I have been with my boyfriend (also a police officer) for about 8 months and the strangest (and sometimes startling) thing to get used to is his talking in his sleep and sometimes sleep walking! He has talked about drug deals, thought some of his recurring criminals were in the apartment, and even gotten up to go after someone. At first it really scared me but now I just try to get him to get back into bed and quiet down. Ha! :)
