From Wednesday to Friday it got so swollen she could no longer open her eye.
She was diagnosed with periorbital cellulitis and admitted into the hospital for IV antibiotics. She had about a 102 degree fever only once and for the most part was acting fairly normal.
She was our beautiful and sweet Baby Quasimodo.
In the time between Wednesday and now we have been reminded of how blessed we truly are.
5ohBaby has seen 9 doctors (by a matter of circumstance) and had 8 nurses given her care.
We have friends who not only agreed to watch our dog but bought 5ohBaby a pillow pet, a balloon, and a glow-in-the-dark magic wand to help her get better (and not be afraid of the dark).
We have been visited in the hospital by friends and been able to FaceTime both our families.
5ohBaby has been brought food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as snacks by the hospital staff.
5ohHubby and I have been brought dinner, not once, but twice in a row by the same family.
We have received prayerful emails, texts, tweets and facebooks from people all over the country.
And best of all? We have seen improvement in 5ohBaby's eye since she was admitted.
As bad as it looks, it never spread to the eyeball or back behind the eye.
As bad as it looks, its not that bad.
Hopefully, after a few more rounds of IV antibiotics her eye will be healed. We are hoping to be discharged tomorrow afternoon (mother's day). Please pray for continued healing of her eye. Love you guys... thanks for all the support!
