The Girl Behind The Blog- Begin, Accomplish, Change

YAY times a million, its time for this months The Girl Behind The Blog vlog link up!! This is seriously my most favorite day of the month- I honestly look forward to it. First, we got to know you & your blog a little better, next we dug a little deeper and talked about what we've been learning lately, then we talked about our favorite beauty products and last month we're getting to know a little more. This month we want to know about your hopes, dreams, and goals!

We know that a lot of us hate our voices on camera, raise the roof no? just me? , have a lovely child screaming like a wilde banshee in the background, may be a little nervous about actually being held accountable to your goals this time *raises hand* or are 100% certain YouTube's main goal is to give you the most unflattering thumbnail options in the world.

It's ok... that's just life. We just want to get to know you in your own words! If you need to see the ground rules or to grab the button you can head over to the prompt. Make sure you follow both Lindsay and I (we're the first two videos!)

You only have to link up on one of the host's blogs because our links are interlinked. So, tell us.. What is something you want to Begin, Accomplish or Change in your life and the lives of those around you? Here is something I've been meaning to do and am asking you to hold me accountable in my The Girl Behind The Blog vlog. Enjoy!

  1. Can you GET any cuter? :) Love the prompt, and love what you shared about schedules with 5ohbaby. Even tho I'm not a momma, I too want to work on scheduling a little better since I'm so fly by the seat of my pants haha! Thanks for the inspiration!

PS - totally random but LOVE your manicure! and headband.

  2. i've been trying to implement the same thing in our lives for the past year!! we have good weeks & then some not so good weeks .. i'm hoping once zach starts school in the fall that reason alone will make us start & keep routine because we'll actually have a reason to be organized .. right now our lives are pretty flexible .. GOOD LUCK! look forward to seeing your schedule!

& a morning coffee routine for yourself is VITAL .. it's the only time i get to myself any day of the week. it will be tough to wake up for maybe three days but once you realize how much you crave the quiet & peacful time in your days it will get much easier!! :)

  3. Great choice! That is something we need in our lives too, I feel like we're at the point where we need more learning activity for the little one during the day. Look forward to seeing the schedule you choose :)

  4. Hope the scheduling and developing a set routine goes well for you! I agree that it's good for children to have some routines so that they know what to expect, even from infancy.

  5. Yay! I love your ambition! I started this too, after getting extremely frustrated with cleaning my house constantly. I started a cleaning schedule so that I did not have to clean everything every single day, and it caused the rest of my week to fall into place. Errands one day, grocery a different, it relieve SO much stress not only on me, but on my family. I wish you luck, and hope that your new schedule brings you happiness!

  7. First off, thanks for hosting this fun link up with Ms. Lindsay, which is how I found your gorg blog!

NOW, your headband is the cutest thing I've seen!!! Super adorbs girlie!!

I can't imagine what it's like with kiddos and managing some sort of schedule, but I can tell you from my own experience with trying to get some routine scheduled in life with school, working at 2-3 jobs at a time, and family time is kinda impossible. I've learned to let go with a lot of things... while implementing routines for the important things like school for me. My advice is just to allow yourself to be flexible with some things you can get away with, while keeping your consistency with sleep time (for instance)....

My goodness... two mom visits in two weeks... gotsta get prepared THEN we get to scheduling, right??

WELP thanks for reading my longggg comment, and thanks again for having us over for the vlog link up!

    xoxo, Bev

  8. You have such a great goal to begin, and I love that it's actually focused on someone else but for the benefit of your whole family! I love seeing people putting their personal wants aside for parenthood and child development. I love this! I'm definitely taking parenting notes. #babyfever :-)

Thank you so much for inviting me to co-host this month, Ash! This has been so fun!

  9. You are such a natural behind the camera! :) I really like what your wanting to change and I hope you stick with it! I'll ask in a couple of weeks how the schedule is coming along. ;) I don't really need too much of a schedule but I do want to do what you talked about in the morning. Wake up before everyone else, coffee & devotional outside. I just have to force myself out of my bed that early!

  10. This is awesome!!! From watching kids I have found there is less time in your day where you are bored and just waiting for time to pass when you know what you guys are doing. At least it helps me with watching other people's kids =)
I really hope you are able to implement your schedule, it sounds like such a neat idea!
    Much Love,

  11. LOVE the idea of a morning devotion. I'm going to try and implement that as well, waking up before my fam, sitting outside and just being still before the day gets crazy. Thank you for that!

  12. I love this whole idea! I hope that I can join in on this one. I did the intro one along with my friend at Our Marriage Adventures. I feel a bit awkward on camera so not sure if it's going to work. But I will try another one. I am getting ready for vacation so I might have to skip this one and join the next.

  13. That's such an awesome goal! Although that is not what I'm talking about in my blog, I really want to start that too...I'll do my best to hold you accountable nd to start my own get-up routine with a quiet time in the mornings. <3

  14. Ben and I have been talking about doing this with Isaac for a couple months now I just haven't done it! I think Isaac is SO bored with our days because he isn't challenged enough and he turns into a giant brat. I started pinning ideas for curriculum (I know I didn't spell that right) for his age and activities to do. Especially since he's 18 months today! Good luck with getting your schedule set. I look forward to seeing what that looks like. Thanks again for hosting :)

  15. I think they need to recast The Great Gatsby with you as the lead, because you rock the shiz out of those headbands! Can we have a flapper blog meet up? That would be fab. I had a set sleep schedule my whole life! My parents were pretty strict with it (maybe too strict at times), but now I truly understand how important sleep is and my body is trained well. Love you! xoxo

And AMEN to having a schedule!
Especially with a little babe...I can only imagine how bad you need one in that case, haha!
Good luck, girl! You got thisss :)

  19. Uh. Could you be any cuter with your headband? I love the idea of having a routine. Definitely trying that to get myself up for classes once they start since I don't have a cute babe to worry about. (But I WILL be filing that away for later reference)

  20. Such a great vlog. Thank you for hosting. It is so difficult to wake up early to spend time for the Lord. Our hearts want it, but our bodies DON'T! I know I have struggled, going back and forth between morning and evening devotions. I really like waking up and doing them in the morning, but it is a struggle. I will stick with you and try to stay with morning devotions. I just think it starts your day off in the right way and having that time with God, in God's creation, and with coffee (hehe), is so special to me and I know it is to God too.

  21. Absolutely loved this vlog!! You are so bubbly and I love it! I can definitely understand the need for a routine and I know that I need one as well (after my 8-5 job!) I'm happy to be a new follower of yours and can't wait to get to know you more!

  22. that's a great goal and will definitely be a challenging one! But so worth it :) As always, thanks for hosting this linkup. It's the only one I'm loyal to haha

  23. You are adorable! I just love this link-up...thanks for hosting! I think it's SO important and necessary to have some sort of schedule or routine...I know you will enjoy your mornings so much once you get acclimated to it. I work full-time, so I'm out of the house by 6:15 a.m. every morning - YIKES! :)

  24. Great goal! We had a pretty good sleep schedule for my little man before family came into town last month and now we're all scattered, it's rough, but it's hopefully getting better and I do agree, it's a great idea!!!

Oh, by the way, I love this link-up and I think you need to make it a weekly thing...just sayin' :)

  25. I love having a good sleep schedule for my boys but I have a bad habit of letting it fall by the wayside sometimes. I totally pay for it the next day. :) With a new baby who will be here any day now, I'm just hoping our crazy next few weeks doesn't completely jack up their schedules.

Thanks for hosting. It's always so fun to link up!!

  26. I'm loving this link up! Way to go :) You have inspired me...I definitely needed to have a boost in putting some sort of routine in place. I think I'm kind of like you - I want structure, but in a non-control-freak kind of way :) I'm excited to hear how it goes - and I"ll keep you accountable! :)

  27. Loved this prompt! I'm not a mom but I think that living by myself and having a very flexible job has totally wrecked any type of disciplined schedule on my end. I totally want to be better about having consistency and routine! Oh, and you are SO gorgeous!!

  28. Your so cute!! I need to get better at an AM schedule with Judah. I was good before we hit all our travel (my husband has to fly out to places to work and we join him) and when we got back home I've been just overwhelmed with trying to get back on a schedule. Especially after our San Francisco trip and the time change back home. But I do need that morning devotions time, it helps me stay focused on whats important and be able to see things clearly through the lens of Christ. Not saying I won't be upset if Judah throws a tantrum, but I've noticed when he does if I am consistent with my morning devotions I handle it better. I have more compassion on him and the situation.
