The Girl Behind The Blog- Show And Tell

Happy Halloween! Its time for this months The Girl Behind The Blog vlog link up!! This is my most favorite day of the month- the day I get to see all your lovely faces!! This is my 8 month doing it and I've really enjoyed it.. and I hope you have, too. You can find all the past vlog link ups hereThis month, the super funny and absolutely adorable Erin and I are hosting our own little grown up show and tell.

We know that a lot of us hate our voices on camera, literally are wearing no makeup and NOT in the cute way are showing what a totally awful awesome parent we have been lately or are 100% certain YouTube's main goal is to give you the most unflattering thumbnail options in the world.

It's ok... that's just life. We just want to get to know you in your own words! If you need to see the ground rules or to grab the button you can head over to the prompt. Make sure you follow both Erin and I (we're the first two videos!)

You only have to link up on one of the host's blogs because our links are interlinked. So, tell us... What are the three things you need to make it through the day? Here's my The Girl Behind The Blog vlog. Enjoy!

  1. Phones and computer are so practical for knowing what's going on in the rest of the world! And as for needing naptime--that's one of the main things I've heard most moms need from their kids. I remember my Mom being slightly envious of other people's children because none of the 7 of us took regular naps after about 1 year old. We were not sleepy children. :P
    Thanks for the link-up!

  4. aww you are not a bad parent, and I'm glad you're feeling better! =) I'm not an advocate for letting kids watch tons of tv either but there are some pretty awesome kids shows out there....Imagination Movers probably one of them, although I actually haven't seen it personally ;) ;)
I do like sesame street, word world and dinosaur train though =)
If I had an iphone it would probably be on my list too....I'm struggling to come up with anything fun to share so I'm putting my video off till tomorrow =)
Loving your linkup as always girl!
    Much Love,

  13. Oh Ashley, I just love you! You are NOT A BAD MOM! HEAR THAT! :) It's ok to do what you gotta do - that makes you emotionally healthy enough to be the great mom that you are! 5ohBaby is not going to be scarred for life from watching a little TV everyday. And every mom LOVES nap time, including me! I love you realness :) Gives grace to us all!

  16. Pregnant or not, naptime is sacred in my house! Bebop watched a lot of superwhy when I was pregnant with Magoo and learned all his letters and sounds as a result. Its not a bad thing to use TV when you're not feeling well. I hope you get your energy back soon!

  17. I always consider you to be a "real" blogger, but you took it to a new level today, and that's why you're awesome. :) Still gorgeous! Get outta town!

  19. Yes, naptime!! I think we can all agree on that one. And if he wakes up early I refuse to go in and get him because I need the full time. Is that so terrible? Haha. And the last few weeks I've been letting him watch Elmo (just that 20 minutes) in the morning. I feel so bad about it but sometimes I just need a little extra break. So don't feel bad!

  22. That was so cute! I just found your blog through LIY. I am a 5-0 wifey too! I just had our 3rd little one in August so I totally can relate with all of your top 3. I just thank God that He helps us forget all of those aweful first trimester moments once we get our little one in our arms. Yay for 2nd trimester!

  29. Awwww...I hope you get to feeling better really soon. My first trimester was so hard. I was always exhausted and had "morning sickness" all day. Week 16 was like a magic...once I hit week 16 it was smooth sailing from then on. My doctor prescribed me anti nausea medicine...and for next pregnancy I will not let mommy guilt haunt me into not taking it when I need it...I was so fearful the medicine was going hurt my baby...and I took it and had a wonderfully healthy little one!

My iphone is definitely so helpful to get thru the day. It was my "push present" (total surprise) and it was so helpful because I have the "baby log" app and it helped me keep up with feedings and sleep schedules!
