Weekend Happenings

Yesterday, 5ohHubby spent the day on a super-top-secret-I-can't-talk-about-it-yet mission for some great friends of ours. We had almost 6 full hours of time together and it was so refreshing to spend that time with my husband.

In order for us to do this, my lovely and amazing friend, Gina, came over and watched 5ohBaby with her son for 6 hours.

6 WHOLE HOURS

5ohBaby clearly had a great time playing and I couldn't be more grateful to Gina (girl, if you are reading this, I owe you HUGE).

After we came home and put 5ohBaby to bed another friend couple of ours came and hung out while she was sleeping so we could go out to dinner. Grateful grateful grateful for them, too. We actually left dinner at 10:30 (which felt so late) but ended up talking to our friends at our house until midnight. I cant remember the last time I've watched today become tomorrow gosh, I'm getting old.

I was hoping somehow 5ohBaby had heard about daylight savings time and would sleep in but, alas, that extra hour of sleep when we "fall back" will never be mine to sleep through again. Sigh.

How are you spending your weekend?

  2. I went to bed so hopeful that I'd get that extra hour of sleep...and then my boy woke up (even earlier than usual!) sigh...I feel your pain.

  3. Ahhh, that wonderful time change! Hubby is still working night shift on weekends so he got an extra hour of work and my 3 littles were up with the sun! I have hope though, the families at church with older kids seemed well rested this morning. Now if I would just stop wanting more babies so that day will actually come. ;)

What a treat to have the night out with your husband! I cherish dates so much, even if it is just lunch at Chick fil a while the kids are in the play place.

  4. I was thinking of you this weekend ;-)

Judah thinks time changes mean he wakes up super super early. Thanking God for my husband Scott and that he allowed me to sleep in and get some crochet done :-)

  5. Awesome that you got to get out and spend some quality time with the mister. Good babysitters are a blessing. I know because we don't really have any! But it's cool because grandma helps sometimes so we can get out. My kid takes daylight savings as a perfectly good excuse to get up two hours early! go figure.... The little rascal is lucky I love him!
